CHRISTMAS 2009
ABUNDANT LIFE, HOPE, PEACE, JOY, LOVE: OFFERED TO ALL SINNERS
God’s plan of the ages…it is not a secret…it was done openly. It all started over 2000 years ago in a little town in Israel called Nazareth in. “…and the angel answered an said to her (the Jewish virgin named Mary) the Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Highest will overshadow you: therefore, also, that Holy One Who is to be born will be called the Son of God (Luke 1:35).”
God, Jesus, was conceived in Nazareth; born in Bethlehem; taken to Egypt; returned to Nazareth and grew into a man, a carpenter by trade: God among us, Emmanuel, God with us. After three years of open ministry, miracles and teaching, He offered Himself as a sinless sacrifice to take the penalty for our sins in our place so we could now come to God, His way. He was crucified (without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin) out side the walls of Jerusalem. After He died He was buried in a tomb near Golgotha, and after three days He rose from the dead, and now is at our Father’s right hand praying for us. Because He was willing to do this, all who believe in Him and confess Him as their Lord-will live with Him forever-all others will reside in the Lake of fire; forever.
Soon and very soon the world, which has been under the curse since Adam and Eve rebelled against God, will change…for now, God’s hand is stretched out still, and He says, “come now let us reason together,” says the LORD, “though your sins are as scarlet they will be as white as snow though they be as crimson they will be white as wool,” if we will repent and turn from our own way to God’s way.
Jesus will come again with all His saints (all who believe in Him) and as He sets His foot on the Mount of Olives-the earth will split and He will return to Jerusalem as King of kings and Lord of lords. Finally, He will set up His righteous kingdom and His kingdom will come as His will is done on earth as it is in heaven. Believers will rule and reign with Him and remain with Him, forever.
Come quickly Lord Jesus!
The Scriptures are true from the beginning to the end. In the light of this, let us live for His glory.
