Good morning. Rick and I arrived in Wilsey, KS yesterday afternoon. Rick will be one of the speakers at the youth conference that begins here tomorrow through Friday with an estimated 400 students expected. The students will spend their days serving this community, and then attend the lectures in the evening. Then we leave for Cedar Rapids, IA for a two day conference at Cedar Rapids Calvary Chapel.
Here are just a few updates and praises regarding the recent past conferences. A grandfather thought to himself regarding the subject matter of Rick’s lectures, “what’s this got to do with me?” The same evening the conference started he got a call from his grandson. The grandson began telling him of the “long ages required for the dinosaurs…etc.” The grandfather was thankful he could offer alternatives Rick had just presented that falsified the long ages and verified God’s history of the world from His Word. He said his grandson’s doubt in God’s Word was replaced with faith.

At another venue, after Rick lectured we received two praise reports. A young mother convinced her husband to come and hear what Rick had to say. She had been praying for him for many years, but he wasn’t willing to go to church anymore. After hearing what Rick taught, he has recommitted his life to the Lord, and he got everyone in the house up and moving the next Sunday, because he couldn’t wait to hear more of God’s Word.
A woman and her husband stopped by our campsite to tell us that as Rick spoke her heart changed, and she knew without a doubt that God’s Word is completely true from Genesis to Revelation. Where before she had spent most of her time reading man’s word, now she is committed to spend time in God’s Word as she looks at it as not only completely true, but also as His love letter to her wounded heart. She and her husband want to spend the rest of their days serving the Lord to His glory.
This is just what God has chosen to reveal as He works in the hearts of the people as Rick lectures. We trust that God is answering all our prayers as we go for His glory. Please continue to pray that the fallow grounds of hearts would be plowed and that God will continue to open doors of opportunity for Rick to lecture, and that He would continue to open the hearts of those who hear, whether in person or through DVDs and the internet; bottom line that doubt would be replaced with faith in God and in His unerring Word.
